Light From Above, Sparks from Below, A haggadah
I wrote this text as a feminist and a queer person in dialogue with the generations of my ancestors whose practices shaped my materiality, the flesh that I speak from. This book is a meditative progression of the stages of the traditional Pesach seder. Integrating contemporary and traditional Jewish thought in English, Hebrew and Aramaic, this text also birthed a six month suite of conversations with painter Tony Bluestone. Their original works accompany the texts.
